WHAT IS PATHFINDERS?

Pathfinders is an activity based organization especially designed for children 10–15 years old. It is an international uniformed organization that is sponsored by the local Seventh-day Adventist churches, and operated by trained volunteers. The program provides opportunity to:

  1. Develop self-worth in a fun, safe and caring environment
  2. Develop an appreciation of Christian spirituality and its role in personal lifestyle
  3. Aid in the development of leadership and positive group skills, teamwork and fun problem solving experiences
  4. Focus on developing skills in outdoor and environmental issues through practical camping, hiking, nature study and other outdoor adventure activities
  5. Expose those involved to a wide range of skills, crafts, arts and other practical skills
  6. Teach the awareness of joy in serving others and the understanding of opportunities within community needs
  7. Encourage a good healthy lifestyle that says no to any drugs or any other harmful substances.

FLAG, PLEDGE, LAW AND SONG

By the grace of God,
I will be pure and kind and true.
I will keep the Pathfinder Law.
I will be a servant of God and a friend to man.

The Pathfinder Law is for me to:

  1. Keep the morning watch.
  2. Do my honest part.
  3. Care for my body.
  4. Keep a level eye.
  5. Be courteous and obedient.
  6. Walk softly in the sanctuary.
  7. Keep a song in my heart.
  8. Go on God's errands.

Oh, we are the Pathfinders strong,
The servants of God are we.
Faithful as we march along,
In kindness, truth, and purity
A Message to tell to the world,
A truth that will set us free!
King Jesus the Savior's coming back
For you, and me!
